TAM Media Research expanded its Services in 2007 with the launch of Radio Audience Measurement (RAM). RAM was launched again as a joint service between IMRB international and Nielsen Media Research. RAM is an independent division of TAM Media Research.

RAM is a specialized measurement service for Radio. RAM uses the Diary method to measure listenership by providing listenership data on a weekly basis. The service was introduced to provide a measurement of radio listeners and tap the growth of the radio industry. RAM coverage is across 4 key metros - Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata covering 600+ individual samples per city. RAM insights enable radio broadcasters, advertisers and agencies to evaluate their return on investments in Radio.

RAM has been working closely with the Indian Radio Industry. RAM has rolled out scientific measurement matrix to inculcate a better usage of the listenership data, it has introduced an advanced data analysis software interface, called Radio Advisor, for use by Radio Channels, Media Planners and advertisers.

RAM has also released two rounds of listenership findings for 9 additional cities based on Universe Establishment Study and Panel based Respondent data collected during May-August 2011 and Feb-March 2012. RAM conducted this study in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Nagpur and Pune. Given the favourable response from across the industry, RAM plans to continue to undertake the future sweeps in the coming years.
