  • TV covered major part of the Pie with 96% share of Sector Ad Insertions.
  • Shampoos, Hair Oils and Hair care Range had more than 80% share of Sector advertising on All the mediums.
  • Hindustan Unilever Ltd was the top advertiser on TV and Radio.
  • Garnier Ultra Blends 5 Precious Herbs, Hairootz Capsule and Iraya Ayurvedic Oils were the top new brands on TV, Radio and Print respectively.
  • Among Sales Promotions, Volume Promotion was on top with 65% share of Sector advertising in Print.

  • Sector Advertising on TV leaped by 27%, while it slipped down by 29% and 35% on Radio and Print respectively during Jul-Sep '16 compared to Jul-Sep '15.

  • TV covered major part of the Pie with 96% share of Sector Ad Insertions.

  • TV and Print had nearly similar monthly trends of Sector Ad Insertions.

Categories of Hair Care sector

  • Shampoos Category topped on TV and Radio with 43%, and 51% shares of Hair Care advertising respectively.
  • On Print, Hair Oils was on top with 47% share.

Top 10 Advertisers of Hair Care sector

  • Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Marico Ltd and Dabur India Ltd were among the Top 10 advertisers on all the mediums.

Top 5 New Brands of Hair Care sector during Jul-Sep ΓΆ€™16

  • 2 brands of L'Oréal India Pvt Ltd namely Garnier Ultra Blends 5 Precious Herbs and Matrix Biolage Advanced Scalppure were present in the list of Top 5 New Brands on TV and Print respectively.
  • Iraya Ayurvedic Oils was present in the list of Top 5 New Brands on both TV and Print.

Top 10 Program Genres on TV for Hair Care sector

  • Feature Films was the top Program Genre with 29% share of Sector advertising on TV followed by Drama/Soap with 14% share.

Advertising Promotions of Hair Care sector in Print

  • Sales Promotion covered 51% of the Pie followed by Brand Promotion with 47% share of Ad volumes.
  • Among Sales Promotions, Volume Promotion was on top with 65% share of Sector advertising in Print.

Zone, Language and City wise Advertising share of Hair Care sector in Print

  • Mumbai topped the list of cities with 4% share of Sector advertising in Print.
  • Hindi was the top Ad Language with 52% share of Sector advertising in Print.

State wise Advertising share on Radio for Hair Care sector

  • West Bengal was on top with 30% share of Sector Ad volumes on Radio followed by Uttar Pradesh with 25% share.
